Anton Affentranger
Chairman of the Board

 
Anton Affentranger represents the lead investor as Chairman of the Board. A Swiss national, born and raised in South America, Anton Affentranger studied Economics and Politics at Geneva University where he received his Masters Degree. In 1981, Anton Affentranger started his career at UBS where he successively occupied the positions of Head of Project Finance in New York and Branch Manager in Hong Kong and Geneva, before being appointed to the Executive Management Board of UBS in Zurich in 1996. From 1998 to 2000, he was Managing Partner and CEO of the private bank Lombard Odier & Cie in Geneva. He leaves Lombard Odier & Cie to join the pharmaceutical group Roche in Basel as CFO.

He is the founder of affentranger associates sa in Geneva, Chairman of Implenia AG , Dietlikon,
Chairman of Dartfish SA , Fribourg, forteq AG , Nidau and SIRS-Lab GmbH in Jena, Germany.


 
Patrick Kilchmann

Born 1958, Patrick F. Kilchmann studied Physics at ETH Zurich, followed by a second degree study in Economic Science at University of St. Gallen. (Dipl. phys. ETH, lic. oec HSG.)

Dr. Fabrice Monti di Sopra
Board Member

 
Fabrice Monti di Sopra studied Physics at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, Keele University, England and Liverpool Hospital, Australia, finishing as Dipl. Phys. ETH and subsequently worked towards his PhD in applied Physics (Dr. ├Ęs Sc. Techn.) in a collaboration project between Avalon Photonics Ltd. and EPF Lausanne. In 2001 Fabrice Monti di Sopra started his industrial career as group leader in Lasag AG, a Swatch Group company, responsible for the diode laser business unit, before being head of Research and Development at Rychiger AG, then CTO and member of the management of SELFRAG AG and finally CTO and member of the management of Meyer Burger AG. • After leaving SELFRAG AG to join Meyer Burger AG as CTO, he was elected into the board of   directors of SELFRAG AG.

Philippe Sarasin
Board Member

Born 1955, Philippe Sarasin is a former partner of the Geneva based private bank Lombard Odier & Cie and a former chairman of the Board of Governors of the CFA institute. He brings more than 20 years experience in investment banking, institutional asset management, investment research and strategy. He worked in Geneva, London, New York and Tokyo. Philippe Sarasin invests in and coaches a half dozen startups companies in their growth and expansion phases. He is particularly involved in projects related to "clean" technologies.
