BOTTOM ASH VALUE PROPOSITION
BOTTOM ASH (SLAG) PROCESSING

100% increase in FE and non-Ferrous metal recovery over current situation at incinerator. Recovered metals are cleaner and command a premium price. Harmful salts are removed. 5-10% made inert as per strict Swiss regulations. 20-30% reduction in volume for landfill.


CONCRETE RECOVERY

Selective fragmentation enables the full recovery of aggregates in their original form without damaging them. The fine fractions of concrete and silicate sand are separated perfectly enabling further processing and or re-use.


E-SCRAP

Different types of electronic scrap (e.g. PCB’s, mobile phones, etc.) contain valuable material as well as contaminants, e.g. lead, cadmium, beryllium mercury and brominates flame retardants. With the SELFRAG technology, these composites can be separated efficiently without the fine comminution of the material often required with mechanical crushing. The valuable materials can be recovered as these are liberated during the SELFRAG process.


FIBERS / COMPOSITES

The SELFRAG technology enables the recovery of elongated fibres from various composites (e.g. carbon fibres, glass fibres etc.). To develop an industrial process, SELFRAG is participating as an active partner in the European Union Research project ‘CleanSky’.
