2024: We Saved Over 13,160 Tonnes of CO2

2024 was a landmark year for Selfrag. Our Centro Uno facility in Full-Reuenthal processed record volumes of incinerator bottom ash, avoiding over 13,160 tonnes of CO2 emissions.

Proof of scalability

Combined with the savings from the SAIDEF plant in Fribourg, our total CO2 avoidance in 2024 significantly exceeded projections. This achievement demonstrates the scalability and reliability of our patented HVP technology in real-world industrial operations.

Circular economy in action

Our recovered metals and minerals are fully contributing to a true Circular Economy. From ferrous metals and iron oxide concentrate to aluminium, heavy metals, and clean minerals, every recovered fraction re-enters Swiss and European material cycles.

What's next

With Centro Due under construction and expected to begin operations in 2026, our combined waste-to-value capacity will more than double, bringing us closer to our target of 33,500 tonnes of CO2 savings per year.
