Centro Due: Construction Has Started

SELFRAG announced the commencement of construction on November 5th, 2024, for their incinerator bottom ash recycling facility in Kerzers. The plant will have a capacity of 45,000 tonnes per annum.
Initial civil works involve terrain elevation and careful removal of topsoil. The company plans to repurpose the excavated humus to improve agricultural land in the surrounding Kerzers area.

Two subsequent posts document project progress:
- October 12, 2025: "The progress on the construction site is evident. After intensive months of planning and preparation, the groundwork and civil works are advancing fast."
- June 19, 2025: An official groundbreaking ceremony occurred on June 18, 2025.
The facility represents SELFRAG's expansion of waste valorization operations, contributing to circular economy principles through metal and mineral recovery.
